🪶 The history of Indian Boarding School policies is one of deep trauma. These policies removed hundreds of thousands of Native children from their families aiming to erase Native languages, cultures, and traditions.

Today, and every year on September 30, we specifically remember the children who never came home. 🧡🕯️

It’s also vital to recognize the survivors their families, and communities affected by these policies.

We must work to restore Native languages and cultures that were disrupted by these horrible actions.

To address the ongoing impacts of Indian boarding schools, The Truth and Healing Commission on Indian Boarding School Policies Act has been introduced. If passed, this landmark legislation would establish a federal commission to investigate, document, and acknowledge the historical harms — a vital step toward healing and rebuilding trust with Native communities.

Join us in supporting this historic legislation at the link in our bio.
A new season is here 🌼✨🍂 As the old fades away and the preparation for the upcoming projects, challenges, and celebrations continues to germinate: take time to rest and support your community.

Happy Autumn Equinox!
