It’s time to pass the Truth and Healing Commission on Indian Boarding School Policies Act

Right now, the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition is working with members of Congress to pass the Truth and Healing Commission on Indian Boarding School Policies Act by the end of the year.
This historic legislation is ready for a vote in both the House and Senate, but we need everyone to sign and send a message to your members of the Congress today, calling on them to co-sponsor and pass the Truth and Healing Commission on Indian Boarding School Policies Act immediately.
If passed, the bill would establish a federal commission that would:
- Conduct a comprehensive investigation
- Hold safe, public or private convenings
- Make recommendations to Congress
- Locate Native American children removed from their families
- Make a final report publicly available
Survivors, their families, and communities impacted by Indian boarding schools deserve justice, and this bill is a vital first step. Thank you for your support!
